ReLoved – Ikea Step

STEP – BEFORE

Supplies Used for this Project:

 Frenchic Original Range Mother Duck

Frenchic Finishing Coat

Gold Frensheen

Paint Brush

Napkins

TURNING THE STEP UPSIDE DOWN, I STARTED PAINTING THE FIRST COAT WITH MOTHER DUCK.

ONCE DRY I GAVE THE WHOLE STEP A SECOND COAT OF PAINT AND AFTER ALLOWING TO DRY AGAIN, I THEN SEALED IT WITH FINISHING COAT TO PROTECT IT.

I MIXED SOME GOLD FRENSHEEN WITH FINISHING COAT TO PAINT THE BOTTOM STEP AND THEN BEGAN TO DECOUPAGE THE TOP OF THE STEP WITH MY NAPKINS.

AFTER SEPARATING THE NAPKINS DOWN TO 1 PLY, I BEGAN TO TEAR OUT ALL THE BORDER PIECES.  I PUT THESE PIECES AROUND THE EDGE USING THE FINISHING COAT TO SECURE IN PLACE.  I THEN FILLED IN THE MIDDLE AREA WITH THE REST OF THE FLORAL DESIGN.  ONCE DRY, I SEALED THE COMPLETED DECOUPAGED AREA WITH THE FINISHING COAT.

STEP – AFTER!

It’s as simple as that! The Finishing Coat is such a fantastic multi-purpose product to have in your ReLoved Kit.  As the name suggests it is used as the Finishing Coat to the Original Range Paint, it is a great medium for Decoupage, is used to mix with Frensheen and can also be used as a Primer on non-porous surfaces!
