Cloggers Bloggers Event – February 2017

Cloggers Bloggers is a Networking Group for Irish Bloggers set up by two lovely girls; Marie Barry-Murphy of The Beaut Mum and Richael Fletcher of Shell La Belle

I’m quite new to Blogging, only setting up my Blog last November, so am delighted to be a member of this Group and to be able to attend such great events like this one!

The event was held at the Cork International Hotel and upon arrival we were greeted by Marie and Shell who had organised some fabulous Trade Stands for us to browse through before being seated.

Just look what awaited us at our Table!!  We were absolutely spoiled rotten with the Goodie Bags which included products from ProperCorn, Fabuloss, No. 7, Primark, New CID Cosmetics, NYX, Cailyn, Blank Canvas, Mii, Nia, Inglot, Ballymaloe, Burts Bees and Powder ‘n’ Pout!  We were very Happy Cloggers indeed!!

BRYT Skincare Founder Catkin Wemyss-Bodmer kicked off the day by talking us through her gorgeous range of natural products and also carried out a demonstration on the lovely Claire of Lipgloss and Lollipops

Catkin spoke very passionately about her Brand and I was both surprised and delighted to hear that they only use ingredients sourced from Fairtrade partners and their products are NOT tested on animals.  They  do not do business with countries where animal testing is accepted – how amazing is that!

Next up we, and Claire again in particular (lucky duck!!), were treated to a Make-up Demonstration by the lovely ladies from Matte to Metallic sharing some great tips and tricks of the trade with us.  They are both such lovely down to earth girls and deserve all their success.

The Cloggers Girls made sure we were all well fed on the day with the Cork International Hotel serving up some delicious food – the Brownie was my Fav obviously!  There wasn’t a word spoken at our table once the food came out which is a great testament to the Hotel as we were a serious chatterbox table!!!

Aisling O’Connor provided us with an excellent Photography Workshop and credit must be given to her for most of the Photographs featured in this Blog Post!  She taught us all about Aperture, ISO, Photoshop and gave us great tips for using Natural Light.  I was obviously too engrossed to take a picture of Aisling which is a shame as she is stunning!

Eimear from The Two Darlings gave us very helpful tips on Social Media use and advised us how to prepare our Media Kits to approach PR Companies and Brands.  I was really inspired by Eimear who has three little girls, runs a very successful Blog and is also very Crafty!  She is so nice and I was delighted to finally meet her.

I honestly had the best day meeting all these fabulous ladies and am already looking forward to the next event!  It was so great to be with like-minded ambitious women, all supporting each other with no-one frowning at you for having your phone in your hand the whole day!! Right ladies?!  Which is why #CloggersBloggersEvent starting trending on Twitter!! Who runs the World… Girls!

Marie finished off the day by announcing her upcoming #corkfashiontrail Event that she has organised for the 4th March where 20 lucky VIP Bloggers will be chosen and treated to a fabulous day out in the City!  Now this just looks like the ultimate day out!

I want to finish by thanking the two girls Marie and Shell for bringing us all together and for all their hard work in organising such a successful event.
